Beautiful vintage Hohner “The Echo Harp” double-sided tremolo harmonica in the keys of C and G, complete with original box!
Essentially two harmonicas in one instrument. The Echo Harp features the distinctive tremolo tuning that creates a rich, vibrato-laden tone perfect for folk, traditional, and classical music.
This double-sided design (56/96 reeds) produces the characteristic “echo” effect that gave this model its name. The tremolo reeds create a sweet, warbling sound that was hugely popular in the early-to-mid 20th century.
Comes with original Hohner box, making this a fantastic collector’s piece as well as a playable instrument.
Hohner Musikinstrumente GmbH & Co. KG is a German manufacturer of musical instruments, founded by Matthias Hohner in 1857. With it's roots in Trossingen, Baden-Württemberg, though known for its harmonicas, Hohner has manufactured a wide range of instruments. Nowadays, they producs harmonicas, melodicas, accordions and recorder flutes.
Excellent vintage condition — clean, bright chrome finish with only light signs of age. The harmonica and box have been lightly cleaned to remove grease and grime accumulated over the years. Tested and plays well across full range. Comes with the original Hohner box (minor marks and damaged consistent with age). There are some spots and marks as expected with age.
